Beijing Model Worker 2020

On 22th, Dec., Liu Bao, fleet captain of Beijing Xingda Transport Subsidiary, BAIC ROCAR Zhongdu Logistics Co. Ltd, was awarded Beijing Model Worker 2020 on the commendation conference of Beijing Model Worker, Advanced Workers and Satisfying Civil Workers.

As a warrior struggling on the road, he failed to accept the honor on site. However, his actions have explained the honor of workers and core values of responsibility, and entrepreneurship of hard efforts and rising to challenges.

Shoulder formidable tasks for the first time, living up to people’s expectations

In the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China and military parade for the 90th anniversary of the founding of PLA in 2017, he took part in guaranteeing equipment transportation. He kept his team on call for 3 months and took lead of his team to carry out field investigation for three times, including checking and recording road conditions, even the angle of each curve. He trained his fleet over and over again, keeping the vehicle speed lower than 60Km/ hour on the expressway and closed loop as well as lower than 40 Km/ hour on average roads. Confronted with urgent and confidential tasks, he completed spot check, loading test, route survey and other transportation supporting tasks with high sense of responsibility and political awareness. His team guaranteed logistics during events, which was awarded Third Class Merit Team by BAIC Group.

Take challenges and bear important tasks again

In the military parade for the 90th anniversary of the founding of PRC in 2019, Liu Bao was appointed the team leader. He selected and took the lead of 6 drivers with the driving experience of over 20 years and more than 10,0000 Kms without accidents, investigated transportation routes in advance, and made the plan of driving speed and vehicle distance. In addition, he checked and maintained vehicles and eliminated potential issues such as tire aging and compartment rusting point aging. Through 13 times of military parade equipment shipment, he led his team to finish the transportation of 64 guided vehicles of parade square team and completed tasks given by BAIC Group, which was commended by relevant departments.

Fight battles against COVID-19 pandemic

In the fighting against COVID-19 pandemic, Liu Bao was appointed and took his team to support the transportation of Foton commercial vehicles for two times. Confronted with the pandemic, he drove to Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital by himself with supplies to fight the epidemic. After the trip of 17hours or 1300Kms, he fulfilled the task. Later, he was awarded Model of Fighting against COVID-19 Pandemic in Beijing. As he told his colleagues when he was performing tasks, “We are drivers. Driving is our job. In the special time, it is our duty once accelerator is stepped on. It is meaningful.”
